1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Chimebird ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Chimebird is an iOS application that delivers smart hourly chimes to help you stay aware of passing time. The App provides:

  • Customizable chime intervals (60 min in the free tier; 15 and 30 min with Pro)
  • Premium sound themes and multilingual AI voice packs
  • Auto-replacing notifications to keep your lock screen clean
  • Built-in reliability diagnostics

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works from the App.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

The App is free to download with optional Pro upgrades. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

  • Pro is offered as either a yearly auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, tied to your Apple ID
  • Subscription prices, renewal terms, and any free-trial eligibility are shown in the App and on the App Store at the time of purchase
  • Auto-renewing subscriptions can be managed or cancelled at any time in your Apple ID account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Not redistribute or resell the App
  • Not extract bundled sound files or other resources from the App
  • Maintain the security of your device and Apple ID

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that chime notifications will always be delivered on time, as this depends on iOS system behavior and user settings.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
